Before Turnpost, there was After The Riots.
It was this short film where Andrew Noon, Jacob Postmus, and Brian Turner all met for the first time. Minutes before pitching Jacob’s final project, the three discussed their strategy before going into a conference room at Vancouver Film School.
Then came time to pitch. As the writer, Brian shared the story. As the DOP, Andrew described the look. Jacob, as the director, convinced the panel why his project would be successful, trying to woo the people on the other side of the table, to get them to jump on the opportunity to produce his film. They bit; ATR received the green light.
The project had such an impact that it was the featured in VFS’ Blast Light, where they took a more inside look at how the production was made. We’re not going to lie, it felt kind of cool to be interviewed and have other students inquire about our project.
Since the final project wrapped, a strong team has formed. Turnpost Entertainment is culmination of that very team. Everyone’s talents are at their prime; their skill set vast.
We look forward to seeing the direction TPE takes next.
